Longwood’s Minor Footballers kept their championship season alive with a hard-fought success in Moynalty on Saturday afternoon.

Longwood dominated the first half with goals from Laoghaire Connolly and Quin Fisher ensuring they took an eight point lead to the interval. The second half saw the home team mount a spirited comeback which left Longwood hanging on to their lead in the closing minutes. But hang on they did, and deservedly so.

A semi-final against neighbours Ballivor is next on the agenda.
