Longwood launch their 2019 Senior Hurling Championship campaign this Friday evening with what is sure to be a titanic tussle with neighbours Killyon.

After topping Group B in last year's championship, Longwood will dine at the top table in the group stages of this year's premier competition. In addition to Longwood and Killyon, Group A also contains Kildalkey, Dunboyne, Ratoath and Kiltale who will be targeting a sixth consecutive senior title. So each game will present the team with a stern examination.

As our footballers proved last year against Dunderry, a positive start to the campaign is crucial and gives everybody a lift.

The game takes place just down the road in Rathmolyon so there is no reason not to attend the game.
